Discipline Procedures

Any behaviors that disrupt the learning environment will be considered a cause for disciplinary action. Teachers are in charge of discipline in the classroom and decide what is disruptive and what is not. Fighting/Violence/Threatened Violence – Students who are involved in a fight/violence/threat will be subject to the following:
  • Students who instigate fight/violence/threat by inciting another student by intimidation, bullying, or harassment will be suspended for a minimum of five (5) days.
  • Students who are involved by way of delivering and/or sending messages to other students to incite another student will be suspended for a minimum of five (5) days.
  • Other students involved in any manner may be suspended from school depending upon the extent of their involvement.
  • All decisions regarding discipline of students reside with school administration.
Please note that these are minimum suspensions and could be for longer periods of time as deemed appropriate by school administration. Also note that law enforcement could be involved.
