Emergency Procedures

Tornado: When a tornado warning is received, an announcement will be made. Everyone will seek shelter immediately by following teachers’ instructions. Students will not be allowed to check out during a Tornado warning.

 

Fire: When a fire is reported, everyone will evacuate the building in an orderly fashion and remain at least 300 feet away from the building until an announcement is made for re- entry. Students are to follow teachers’ instructions for evacuation and re-entry of buildings.

 

Intruder/Present danger: If there is an intruder or a present danger, a “Lock Down” will be called. Upon hearing the words “Lock Down”, all doors will be closed and all persons will move away from doors and inside walls. The campus will remain locked down until an “All Clear” announcement is made or law enforcement gives further instructions.
