Refocus Room

Sometimes students need to be removed from a situation, but do not need to be removed from school. In these incidents, the school administration may choose to remove the student from the classroom and place the student in the Internal Focus Room. This is a classroom where the student will have the opportunity to calm down, work through issues that may have contributed to the misbehavior, and develop better methods for dealing with situations, while continuing to make academic progress. A staff member will be assigned to the Internal Focus Room to work with the student along with the Counselor and other support staff.
